Circulating books can be checked out of the library for three weeks, and can be renewed up to three times during a semester. PHSC Libraries do not charge overdue fines.  Circulating books can be fiction or non-fiction, including recent popular bestsellers in both print and audio.  Many circulating non-fiction books are also available online as E-books.

Reference books in print are special collections of encyclopedias, handbooks, dictionaries and other materials that usually can only be used in the library, and are designed to assist with research.  Now you can find full-text reference sources online using the library's online reference databases.  We have databases that include the full-text of hundreds of useful reference books that are a great place to get started on researching a topic.  Try the Virtual Reference Library (Gale), or Oxford Reference Online for your search.
