MLA is a format for writing, editing and documenting sources when completing a research paper. It was developed by the Modern Language Association and is primarily used in the disciplines of literature, languages, and the arts.  When using the MLA format, students should consult the MLA Handbook  located in the reference section of the campus library or refer to the article on MLA Documentation located in the PHSC Online Writing Center

Students can get assistance with writing in MLA style from librarians at any campus library, and from staff in the Academic Success Centers.  Your professors should also be an important resource to use when you need help.
